About Me
Hi! My name is Mira Krishnan. I’m a first-year majoring in neuroscience on a pre-med track — I hope to be a physician one day. In high school, I was heavily involved in speech and debate, HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America), and community service. In my free time, I love being with friends, family, and especially my little shih tzu, Coco.

Year in Review
This year, I’ve arguably learned more than any other year of my life. From the transition to independent living to adjusting to a virtual learning environment, my growth this year has been significant yet atypical. I’ve also found adapting to the rigor of college courses and getting involved in student organizations such as Buckeyes Against Alzheimer’s to be extremely rewarding. However, I would say that what’s challenged me the most as an individual has been making personal connections and building true friendships. Creating a a strong network of relationships in college is difficult, and even more so during a pandemic. I found that I could make connections in my dorm, extracurriculars, and even virtually if I made the effort. Doing so proved to be a very enriching experience.
This summer, I look forward to beginning research centered around neuro-degenerative disease at the University of Cincinnati’s Gardner Neuroscience Institute. I’m excited for what the future holds!
