My First Semester at OSU

My first semester at OSU has been filled with amazing experiences and opportunities. What has felt like an eternity since my first day of classes has also flown by in a blink of an eye. It is crazy to look back and reflect on all that has happened since move in day and how much I have grown and changed. I have really enjoyed my classes this semester, getting to major in dance is an amazing thing. It has been awesome getting to dance everyday and get stronger in technique classes. I’ve also had the most amazing time in the dance club I joined called Dance Connection. I’ve met so many amazing people in that club who all share the same amount of love for dance. I feel as though I have really found my place here on campus and I cannot wait for what the next few years have in store for me at Ohio State.

My First Week at OSU

My first week at The Ohio State University has been a week like no other. A week full of scheduled events, fairs, activities, even spontaneous adventures with new friends. Though it has only been a week, it feels like it has been months since I first left the comfort of my own bed. This past week I have been exposed to many of the resources and opportunities Ohio State has to offer. I am beyond excited to utilize every tool during my next four years here.

I came to college unsure of what to expect, but with an open mind ready to start this new chapter of my life. I was never much of a school person back in high school, however I believe the amount of independence that was suddenly dumped on me has truly impacted the way I view school. I have realized that I came here to educate myself. It’s my responsibility to do well and really push myself beyond my boundaries. This idea has made me super excited to learn and work hard so that I may be successful. No one is nagging me to do anything or to turn in assignments on time, just me. What I wasn’t expecting was to gain so much excitement to learn and further my education! The people I have met have helped me grasp what is possible in the world I never had thought before. All in all, this whole week has been super overwhelming but in the best possible way.
