Global Awareness: As a future healthcare professional and simply a citizen I think it is important to be able to connect with people from many lifestyles. I will learn about other cultures through my Spanish minor and study abroad programs.
Original Inquiry: It is important to be curious about the world around you so that you are always able to enrich your education and the lives of others. I will participate in a research laboratory during my second year, potentially in the Center for Innovation in Pediatric Practice at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Academic Enrichment: Education supplies students with the tools they need to enter a workforce that they are passionate about and to broaden their horizons. I will complete my Neuroscience major and Spanish minor with honors and work to maintain a respectable GPA that will prepare me for medical schools.
Leadership and Development: A good leader is able to create bigger and better change in any project that they set out to accomplish. I plan to run for officer positions in the extracurricular activities I am involved in and act as a leader in the classroom environment.
Service Engagement: It is important for individuals to reach out and help the less fortunate. I am involved in several service based clubs at OSU and will be employed as a volunteer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Center of Science and Industry.
