For my Spring project, I decided to move forward with mine and my friend’s idea to start designing skateboards. I never had the motivation to start drawing to designing one but this project opportunity was a sort of motivation. The main obstacles I faced when making these designs were obviously thinking about what to draw. I had a lot of ideas but just started drawing really bizarre stuff that had bright colors with a dark outline and contrast. I wanted to make something just completely different so that our boards would be unique. Each drawing took a total of about 4-5 hours with just getting the shading right, the different textures, contrast between different colors and writing text in a calligraphy manner. Since I’m just a beginner, these two drawings took me a while but I’m proud of how they turned out (except for one which is almost finished).
