As a team, we analyzed each design (click here for designs) by first using a screening matrix, followed by a more in depth analysis using a scoring matrix. The categories we considered most valuable and crucial to the success of the MCR were stability, aerodynamics, weight, durability, and safety. Characteristics can vary in importance and magnitude, as seen in the scoring table. The screening table, as mentioned before, is a quick analysis in comparison to the prototype by simply using plus (+) or minus (-) signs, while the concept scoring provides a numerical value (0-5) to back up the screening analysis.
