Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness:

I plan on extending my global awareness by taking courses about global history and the modern world through some of my general education courses.

Original Inquiry:

As a Data Analytics major, I do not currently plan on doing research in my field. However, I am very excited to take my studies outside of the classroom on the computer programming side of my major. I would love to be able to teach myself in depth computer programming through my own personal projects, and to be able to extend my skill set beyond what my major requires.

Academic Enrichment:

On my current academic plan, I am attempting to take as many honors classes as possible for my general education courses, and almost every single course in my major is an upper level course. I hope that this helps me to go above and beyond my peers across the country in my field of study.

Leadership Development:

I would love to begin / help run extracurricular activities across the University. Whether that means me applying for a leadership position within the Men’s Glee Club, or even beginning my own club on campus, I am excited for the opportunity!

Service Engagement:

Throughout High School, I volunteered each summer to help underprivileged children get meals each day and have people with whom they can spend time. I loved working with kids, and I would love to find a similar opportunity during my years at Ohio State!
