3 Things I Have Learned
Over the course of six weeks while taking the course, Keys to Online Success 2011, I have been exposed to numerous resources to support students during online learning. First, this course has improved my time management skills by using the app Study Manager; which has in turn increased my grades in other courses. Secondly, being assigned a variety of homework, from having to manage readings, weekly quizzes, and journal entries has kept me engaged in the course weekly. I have learned so much about how to effectively, efficiently, and respectfully work in a group setting, both virtual and in-person. The readings offer great insight into how to make asynchronous learning work for you, and that knowledge is invaluable. Lastly, this course has taught me how to better identify student resources provided by the University. Ohio State offers a ton of interesting apps, websites, and programs to help students excel and find resources for research projects, movies for classes, and credible articles/journals to cite for English courses. I have enjoyed my experience taking this course and I recommend it to 1-2nd year students especially!
