I would like to pursue a career in medicine as a physician. I am driven to aid people and I believe my services would be best suited as a physician.
I plan on utilizing the rest of my time on campus by preparing to pursue a career in medicine. I plan on studying for the MCAT and applying to medical school. I also am planning on continuing my volunteering, with an emphasis on hospital volunteering. I also plan on completing my clinical hours by finding some employment in the hospital setting.
I am a sociology minor and take great interests in issues in our society. For my sociology course in Spring 2021, we had to write a research paper. For my paper I decided to explore the reasons for the maldistribution of wealth that exists in America. I was able to formulate my opinion using facts and readings conducted by previous researchers. I take great pride in learning about social issues and educating others on such issues.
Hi I am John Kipp and I am a biology major pursuing a career in medicine. I am from Akron Ohio and I have lived there my entire life. I am involved with cancer fundraising though BuckeyThon, I am a legislative ambassador for the American Cancer Society, and I am an active member in the community through volunteering. I plan on being involved with sociological research in order to contribute to bettering our society. I have always cherished the opportunity to show compassion towards others. I am interested in a profession in heath due to my medical history and my goal is to help others like the medical professionals who helped me.

My first four semesters while attending The Ohio State University have been quite eventful. Personally, I faced adversity like no other that I have faced in my life. The COVID-19 pandemic has turned life as we knew it upside-down. Being an Ohio State student has been the one constant in my life that has aided me as a I journey the adversities of life. I have learned a plethora of life lessons in my first four semesters, which I will continue to evaluate for a long time. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I have been granted. I hope my third year will be better and we as a society can begin to heal the wounds inflicted over the past year.
A course that really had an impact on me was the sociology course on American society that I took in Spring 2021. The content of this course was an overview on the societal issues in America, with an emphasis being on the existing inequalities. I hope to continue learning about the issues that many face in our society and I hope to contribute to research projects that would add more clarity to the severity of some of these issues.
