Received a grant from CBI on “Embodied Effects Of Rhythmic Music Among Adults With Brain Injury”

We are awarded a 1-year grant by the Chronic Brain Injury (CBI) Discovery Theme for our interdisciplinary research on “Embodied Effects Of Rhythmic Music Among Adults With Brain Injury”. The PIs are Lise Worthen-Chaudhari (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation), Eugenia Costa-Giomi (Music Education), W. Jerry Mysiw (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation), Catherine Quatman-Yates (Physical Therapy), Jinghua Li (Materials Science & Engineering), and Asimina Kiourti (Electrical & Computer Engineering). Prof. Kiourti receives ECE Outstanding Teaching Award

Prof. Asimina Kiourti receives one of the department’s Outstanding Teaching Awards for the Autumn 2019 semester. ECE Department Chair Hesham El Gamal shared that the recipients stood out during the Autumn 2019 semester for their “rigorous methods, mastery of teaching skills, and inspiring passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for our students.” Further information is available here.
