Project Statement
I created a map that directs the walker to a specific destination while taking them a certain route that is meant to represent the feelings and actions of the exam process, starting from gathering materials to finding out the grade received on the exam. Along the walk are different buildings that are represented by school supplies that are similar in shape. My goals were to make an interesting map that has a unique story for the process of reaching the destination, and to successfully represent the feelings each step of the way with textures that made sense. I believe the outcome was successful in showing the route and expressing the narrative and feelings to think about when walking, as well as the abstraction of the buildings to add to the exam process concept.

Reflection
I learned the process of slow thinking and how to take more in and be mindful of everything that was happening around me to the point where I was placed in an entire narrative way of thinking that became connected as I walked the path. I learned how to represent feelings by using different textiles and showing the stronger feelings by making them more overwhelming and darker through abundance. I overcame the challenge of making the map have abstractions, before it was just simple 3D buildings and looked very similar to apple maps unintentionally. I was able to come up with the supplies abstractions which really helped push the concept. I overcame the challenge of expressing the slow thinking idea on the map so that others could think like I did. I discovered how abstract I could make objects and still get the point across to express what objects represented which buildings.
