Research:
I had conducted research on what I wanted in my room and things that stood out to me especially for the architecture. I’ve always wanted a balcony and that was pretty easy to add to the room but I also wanted to add rafters so I had to do research to be able to understand how they really look. everything else was something that I came up with or that I had seen before and remembered how they looked, except for the chair. I wanted to make the studio room both modern and have an outdoor/barn feel by using wood.

Iterations:
I started out with trying to find the dimensions that I wanted and to include the balcony in those dimensions. I then figured out how to make the ceiling as a peak centered with my vanishing point to prepare for the rafters. After having the room set I then chose my objects that I wanted to add. I contemplated with a couple ideas for things like the chair and how the windows would look behind the couch. After I had everything picked out I finished my final sketch and then traced it as the final copy and traced over that again with different sizes of pens to show the different line weight to help with the depth and perspective drawing. at the end I then decided to use graphite to add texture to show materials, reflections, and shadows.
Production:
I believe that achieved a good sense perspective as all of the lines in the room show an accurate looking perspective and in addition to the line weight helps the room look very realistic. I believe that I did a good job tackling some the ore challenging details such as the rafters and the 2 point perspective chair that I believe looks very natural behind part of the desk so that it is not an eye sore and stand out too much and even some small things like how the height of the hanging lights are both the same. Other than what was the main objective in this assignment I believe that I did a good job with keeping somewhat of a theme that makes it all look like it fits together as well as the detail work in making the wood look realistic in the rafters and around the door frame, as well as how I showed that an objective was glass and even some reflection that is seen in the tv on the wall of the door and the windows above as well as the end table where you can see a slight reflection of the sofa as well as made it lighter in the area where the window would shine. I really leaned how to use perspective drawing to look realistic, including 1 and 2 point perspective and keeping the lines and other aspects consistent. Places that could use improvement are some things like using the pen which I had not used before in drawing and with the ruler it caused a lot of smudging and if I messed up a little because of the ruler placement I could not fix it without messing up the line weight. I also think I could use improvement on some of my objects like the sofa which I thought looked strange for some reason as well as the legs and rollers to the chair and also making the circles to the lights more close to a perfect circle.
