Housewives Committee

The Housewives Committee was a sort of union formed by the wives of the miners. They participated in the Federation of Mine Workers. They wanted Bolivia to be free of its imperialistic government. They wanted the workers and mines to be in power and be in charge of laws, education, etc. Most importantly, they wanted husbands and wives/men and women to work together to fix issues of working and living conditions, and the state of Bolivia.
