Producing a Video Montage

How I put the pieces together:

I wanted to format my slideshow in a story-telling way. I used my audio and video clips to tell my journey of traveling during spring break. The order of the photos photos that represented where we visited starting from the beginning of our trip to the end. I choose photos that were vibrant in color and had people in them because I wanted to emphasize this was a family vacation. Also, some of the photos I choose were popular site-seeing locations, such as the Hogwarts train station. I choose these well-known destination signs so the audience may relate and really feel like they’re on spring break with my family and I. Something else I added was the night dragon clip. The dragon breathing fire added a nice attention grabber if the viewer had either zoned out or wanted something more to see in the slideshow. Furthermore, some of the transitions I used between pictures were specifically chosen. For example, in the introduction, I wanted to use a big and grabbing effect to present my sister and I jumping in the air. Therefore, I chose the circle transitions.

I liked the challenge of putting images and video together in an upbeat montage. I hope viewers will feel just as much ease and happiness as I did when I was on vacation.
