This event was super cool. I love going to the Final Friday Dinners. This month was to Lavash Cafe, which is Mediterranean food. We took the bus there because it is in Clintonville. I started with a beef and lamb kefta sandwich. I twas really good. I have had kefta before when I went to London in 2016, so I thought that I would really like it and I did. After having my main meal I went back and got desert. I got a piece of mocha cake and rice pudding with cinnamon on top. Both were really good. Before we left the owner, I believe, came out and told us he would give us baklava to try. I had never had it before and it was also really good!
This event relates to International Affairs because it gives us the opportunity to try new foods. I’m so glad that we have this event because I love trying food from all around the world. Columbus also has so many places to go to and so having this event helps me get to go to all of the really good places. I will probably try to take my parents and friends who aren’t in IA Scholars to the restaurants that we go to. It is really important to expose yourself to cultures and through food is one of the ways you can do that.
