The best Canon DSLR cameras for beginners and advanced users

Photography – Three months ago, I did not know anything about DSLR. I always had the idea that learning DSLR would be hard and I simply lacked the basic photography skills. However, this all changed when my brother, who was engaged for over a year, was about to get married in October. Because of covid, the marriage was a small event and only immediate family members were invited. This meant that we couldn’t hire any outside photographers and the responsibility to capture the important moment in my brother’s life was put onto my shoulders.

I immediately started going out with my DSLR, taking random pictures and learning from it. I spent countless hours trying to perfect my skills, and each day, I could see my pictures were improving. And when the wedding day came, I managed to capture some of the beautiful moments in my brother’s life and I couldn’t be happier.

After that event, I have a whole different outlook when it comes to learning new skills. You just have to start somewhere.

I always wanted to be an engineer but could never narrow down into what interested me the most. Joining my school’s rocket team helped piqued my interest in Aerospace and I have loved to learn more about it since. Building model rockets was also one of the first time I had to utilize my engineering knowledge and test out my creation. I loved the whole process of running simulations, planning, and teamwork which went behind building the rocket, and at the end, we could see what our hard work led to.

About Me

Hi, my name is Rafi Khan. I am an undergraduate student at OSU pursuing a major in Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering. Throughout high school, I have been a member of my school’s Engineering Academy and Dublin Scioto Rocket Team. At Engineering Academy I have worked in multiple projects like building a Mars Rover which had to autonomously navigate terrains and complete tasks and I also hold a record for building the strongest popsicle bridge which could support 450 lbs. In my third year of being a member of the Rocket Team, I was promoted as the leader and was responsible for building rockets to participate in the Team America Rocketry Challenge.

At OSU, I have joined the Underwater Robotics Team, Buckeye Space Launch Initiative, and The American Institute of Aerospace and Aeronautics. I am looking forward to gaining as much knowledge and experience I can from these organizations and productively finish my freshman year.
