G.O.A.L.S.

On October 28,  2018, my group met at Drackett, and without any real plan, decided to head to Short North to get food. However, on the way, it started raining, and we stopped at Target so I could get an umbrella. I found the cheapest one there, and bought it quickly so we wouldn’t miss the next COTA bus. However, within 5 minutes of leaving target, it stopped raining. I was still pretty happy because I didn’t have an umbrella before, and now I had one with some meaning to it. From there, we headed to the Short North, and decided to eat at Melt. After much debate, I got a sandwich with pizza rolls inside it, which was surprisingly good, however was also super heavy. However, I enjoyed spending a lot of time just hanging out and bonding with my group. We talked about ourselves, getting to know each other better. After Melt, we aimlessly walked around the Short North area, trying to find something to do, before we decided it was too cold and headed back. Honestly, I wouldn’t change anything because even wandering around with nothing to do was fun, and I would definitely recommend going to Melt.

On November 17 2018, I met up with my friend Mohammed Khan (Yes, we have the same last name. No, we aren’t related) and after finishing up our classes for the day, we decided to head to Mike’s Late Night Slice. I haven’t had pizza in a long time, and figured this would be a chance to try a new place. We decided to walk there (it was about a mile from campus) and it was freezing cold and windy, but we enjoyed the walk regardless, talking about the upcoming exams. Initially, the location was a bit underwhelming. It was a small hole-in-the-wall location. I was skeptical at first, but we went in anyways. The pizza slices were huge, and honestly it was some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while. The pizza wasn’t at all greasy, and was very fresh with many toppings. The crust was also delicious.
On our walk back, we got some insomnia cookies to eat and warm us up until we got back to campus. I would 100% recommend (And already have to a couple people). Next time, I would go when it was a little warmer, and bring more money to get another slice.
