High Performance Director, The Columbus Crew
Steve Tashjian is in his fifth season with Crew SC in 2018 in his current role as High Performance Director, joining Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter’s staff on September 19, 2014. The 2017 season is his seventh overall in Columbus.
In a move that showcased the club’s continued investment in becoming an industry leader in the fields of performance and sports science, Crew SC became one of just two teams in Major League Soccer to have a professional on staff in a similar role. Renowned for being the lone American in the same role in the Barclays Premier League for half of a decade, Tashjian is tasked with continuing to develop peak performance, health and wellness, sport science, strength and conditioning and recovery for the club.
