An item that is representative of my academic and social growth at college is the Blackburn lobby and kitchen. Last semester, our business scholars’ family held a friends-giving in the blackburn kitchen that we as students planned and just enjoyed each other’s company. In addition, the lobby is the place where I study the most and can always pop by to take a break and chat. In the lobby, I see familiar faces and talk to people I do not necessarily see every day. The lobby is also where my small group meets where I take a break from the focused studying. This place represents many different things for me, and it provides different experiences for me every-time I sit at a table to study or take a break. I have met new people here, connected with old friends, and achieved academic success with the countless hours I spend here.
