Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. Artifacts

During my fall semester of 2016 at Ohio State, I worked with a team to create a business model and perform research in order to develop an idea. The idea my team developed is a collapsible longboard.

Here is the link to our final presentation of our idea: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1py9tETz5z5h6Snt88DUbni8fNS6VChTlRcflWNbPovc/edit?usp=sharing

About Me

img_6526-1

Hello, my name is Zachary Keith and I am from Cincinnati Ohio. Most of my family is from Georgia, where I was born, but I moved up north when I was a kid. I believe having an open mind and being able to step out of a comfort zone is one of the greatest skills. During my time at the Ohio State I hope to learn to love learning and find my passion. I enjoy helping and talking to others so I want to continue that in an innovative way. Throughout high school I would always lean towards the science department. I took AP Biology my senior year and loved being able to design experiments from scratch. I enjoy not discovering new knowledge through research especially hen I get to create my own. At Ohio State I hope to participate in undergraduate research and eventually design my own research experiments.  I plan on getting involved in research through my chemistry class as well as my survey class. My goals are to not only gain knowledge but to also gain experiences at the university. I am very interested in any professional medical field, however I am very interested in medical business. I am taking macroeconomics to possibly minor in business on top of my biology degree. The ultimate goal is to create my own biomedical research startup and develop medical technologies to help improve people’s lives. Specifically making medical costs lower and more affordable. I am very dedicated to innovating in order to solve problems and increase the quality of life.
