Welcome
This page is used to share about courses I have been a part of at Ohio State. I will also share about my work and my background to add context to what I am learning. All the parts of my life interact. What I learn here can improve the others and vice-versa. While you’re reading watch for times when concepts that I learned in other areas of my life cross over.

Why I’m Here
About a year ago I returned to school after a 10 year break. I got my undergrad in History, but since then have worked on political campaigns, for health care non-profits, and now for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. I work with learning health systems to build systems that increase patient and family involvement in their care. We want to learn what impact engagement has on health outcomes and how we can scale and spread those systems. I returned to school so I could learn more about myself before applying for grad school. Over the past year I’ve tried Sociology, Anthropology, History(again), Stats/BioStats, and Epidemiology. It’s helped me to figure out that I want to apply for programs in Public Health.
That’s why I am taking this class too. My grad program will be 100% online and I want to improve my online learning skills. If you have tips let me know!
