Coffee drinker? Drinks coffee 3-4 times a week

K-Cup Use

Do you use K-cups? Why or why not? Yes, because they are convenient.

How often do you buy k-cups? Probably once every couple of months. Gets around 15-25 count.

How often do you use k-cups? Only once to twice a week.

Have you explored other methods for brewing coffee? Talk to me about your experiences. If not, why haven’t you? Would you be interested in exploring other options? No, I just buy iced coffee instead. 

Please talk to me about your perspective of the environmental impact of k-cups. Doesn’t really know much, but knows they are not good for the environment.

What is most appealing about k-cups? Least? Nice because she has a Keurig at home and at school and nice to have the convenience to make just one cup of coffee and doesn’t have to leave the house to go buy coffee.

How do you dispose of your used k-cups? Why? Garbage because it’s easier and she knows they can’t just be thrown in recycling.

Recycling Habits

Do you recycle? Why or why not? At home she recycles, not at school because it’s not available.

Are you familiar with what can and can’t be recycled? Have you taken steps to learn about what can and can’t be recycled? Why or why not? For the most part, yes.

Do you clean your recycles before placing them in the bin? Why or why not? Yes, makes sure food isn’t on them, but doesn’t always wash them.

Do you separate your recycles? Why or why not? Have a general garbage bin and recycle bin that all goes in same bin at home. Glass, paper and everything go into one.

In your opinion, are k-cups recyclable? No, she doesn’t think so.
