I investigate the fundamental physics that underlies spintronics devices for future non-volatile memory applications. More specifically, I study spin related phenomena such as spin transfer torque and spin absorption in 2D materials as well as investigation of magnetic proximity effects in epitaxial ferromagnetic insulator/high spin orbit coupling materials. To this end, I fabricate nanoscale devices and carry out magnetoresistance measurement down to 5K temperature. The excitement of discovering something new has always been the driving force for doing research combined with the possibility of using the invention for real world application.

Outside the lab, I enjoy playing soccer, road biking, reading and traveling to different countries to explore various cultures.
