My name is Elise Jurkovich and I am an Engineering student at The Ohio State University. I am currently undeclared within the program but am very interested in Materials Science Engineering and Industrials and Systems Engineering. Growing up, I have always enjoyed math, science, and being creative so I am excited to apply these skills and interests to my major. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics play a huge role in my everyday college life due to the classes I am currently taking. But, they also have always been especially interesting to me due to their complexity and usefulness to every aspect of life. Additionally, I am interested in pursuing a business minor so that I can be flexible in the workplace with my technical degree. I hope to continue in the STEM EE Scholars program and also build onto my academic experiences throughout my years in college. The end goal is finding a job after graduation, and whatever that may be, I plan to utilize Ohio State’s resources to do so.
