Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. G.O.A.L.S.

My undergraduate experience at OSU has allowed me to meet many new people with different backgrounds. I plan to take course work that will expand my awareness of diversity. I will take a Chinese film class my third year at OSU. This class will teach me about the history of Chinese film and I will be learn about Chinese culture.

I have not had any experience with research at OSU at this time. Research is something that I would be very interested in. Over the next four years I plan to get involved in research and hopefully in a research program studying abroad.

The curriculum that I have planned for the next four years is focused on my goal to get into medical school. The courses that I have chosen are the courses that will best prepare me for medical school. I have chosen GE’s that will expand my knowledge beyond just my core science classes.

I am going to join the club swim team next semester. I plan on swimming through all four years at OSU and eventually becoming a team captain. I enjoyed being a leader on my club and school swim teams in high school.

I plan on volunteering at a hospital so I can better understand the hospital environment and the people there.
