FABE 3140 is the Professional Development course for the Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering. I have learned so much in this course that I wasn’t expecting. One thing I learned about in this course is the FE and PE tests for engineers. Before, I didn’t really know what they were and being able to go in-depth into what they are and how you study and take them was extremely helpful. Also just going over the basics, how to do interviews properly, make a good resume, and how to network with companies was really helpful. The final thing that this course has had me do is make this Professional Portfolio that I know will help me get hired in the future. The professors for this class have been great and their willingness to listen to the students have made this class a great experience. I would definitely recommend that this class stays the way it is and also encourage other departments at Ohio State to implement a course like this one.
