When we were given the opportunity to volunteer at Steps for Sarcoma, a walk sponsored by the James Cancer Center, I immediately jumped at the opportunity as it was an event similar to something very personal to me. While it isn’t for sarcoma, every year my immediate and extended family all participate in a 5k walk for brain cancer, and, every year, I see how much it means to all of those currently suffering from or in remission of cancer to see not only those who participate but also all those who volunteer their time to make the event happen. It was so amazing and rewarding to cheer on those participating at the Steps for Sarcoma event and to provide a little help for such a great cause!
