This spring I took ESLTECH 2011.   It was a online class that teaches you ways to be successful with online classes.  I took this class because I have taken some online classes and I have done ok in some and not so ok in others;  so when I saw this class I thought it maybe able to give me some pointers on how to be successful with my online classes.  So starting out we are given many online tools that are offered to us as OSU students, such as the OSU library and the online tools that come with it, Carmen Zoom, Buckeye Bar, even the OCIO Knowledge Base that helps you find the right technology to help you.  A few weeks later we are introduced into different note taking styles.  Even though I have my own form of taking takes it is a combination of the ones we are shown like eliminating vowels, and shortening words.  This has helped with one of other online classes where I had to take notes on my readings and then send them to my professor for a grade.  I had been getting low scores on this but after the readings and videos on note taking I have been getting all my points.  All in all this class has been very supportive in accomplishing the knowledge needed to succeed in my online classes.

My name is Angela Jones and I want to begin doing post on this page regularly.  I am a single mother who has returned to school for her BA in Education after being out of school for 8 years when I got my AS in Early Childhood Development from Columbus State Community College.  I have three children a son 19 in college, a daughter that is 15 in high school and a almost 2 year old daughter with Down Syndrome.  They are my reason for everything I do for I want them to be proud of me and I want to show them that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.  So I will be posting things on here at least one a month to keep you posted on things I have learned or experienced so hopely what I learn can help someone else as well.
