Distance learning Portrait

I learned a few things while doing this portrait and one of which is the difficulty of getting proportions correct. I spent a lot of time just aligning the size of my head and the facial features on the paper before starting any detail whatsoever. After getting the general size and area of the head, nose, mouth, eyes, and ears I went back over them plenty of times with details. This detailing portion of the drawing did not take nearly as long as getting the correct dimensions for everything in the picture. The hardest feature to draw was probably the nose or mouth, it took me multiple try’s to get them in the correct proportions and positions.
