Maintaining Motivation Blog Post AAANNNNDDDDD End of Semester WOOOOOOOOOO

Hello all this is your boiii Andre Jeff tuning in with you guys one last time as we wrap up this semester. It has been a long journey and i love all of you who reads my post….. if anyone anyone reads mu post :(. but module seven was my favorite one hands down as it talked about motivation and things we can do to stay motivation. Now this lesson hit me hard because i myself struggle with staying motivated in school and within my sport sometimes. But it is all about how you motivate yourself and page 6 of the module mentions your environment. The environment of where you are studying matters because anytime of distractions can set you back and throw odd your motivation to do your work. Did you know, on average, interruptions 23 minutes and 15 seconds to recover from, even if the distraction is a minute long, according to slide 12.  This even caught my eyes so if this does not convince you to limit your distractions around you then i do not know what will. My favorite segment from this module was learning was of staying focused while studying. I am one of those people that likes to listen to music while i study but my playlist is sort o fall over the place. Well slide 8 introduces this really unique website that i tested that helps Improve focus and boost your productivity by mixing different sounds to create your perfect environment. I highley recommend this to anyone who enjoys soothing sounds while they work.

Module 2 reflection

Hello OSU students,

My name is Andre Jeff and i’m here to give you the run down on module 2. it was a very interesting module with some very important information on netiquette. So what is netiquette, you’re  probably wondering? Well netiquette is a set of standards related to how individuals communicate and engage with one another in online settings. You’ve all probably had face-to-face interactions with another person and and you soon caught onto things like body language, facial expressions, all kinds of different ways to read a person and figure out how to communicate with them. But in an online setting, you dont have that face-to-face first impression, so how do you communicate? Well its not the same way you do face-to-face for sure, online communication requires a lot more patience in what you say.

take the email for example. When emailing someone for the the first time, how should you approach the situation. Well proper email etiquette is a thing and you should always follow it. If you are emailing your professor, try starting your email off with a subject, it will give your professor a rundown of what shall be talked about. Next include a greeting, i simple hello, good morning or hi professor followed by their last name is always a great way to start things off; dont ever just hop right into your problem. Next you want to say your name and state what class you’re before diving into your question because again, this is your first interaction with your professor. Before asking your question however, try asking yourself, can i answer my own question? To do so, check Carmen, check the syllabus, ask a classmate then if you still dont know the answer then proceed to asking your  professor. it can save a lot of time. Make sure you proofread your email, check for misspelled words and avoid slang because what makes sense to you may not make sense others. and finally, end your email with a closer, a farewell or a thank you and again restating your name. This is the proper way to write an email and following these simple steps can take you a long with with meeting someone via email for the first time. but if you want to learn more for yourself, visit page 7,8 and 9 of module 2.
