  • Description: Kendama is a traditional toy made up of a point at the top, three cups attached to the side and end, and an attached ball featuring a small hole. A 16″ (40cm) string connects the ball and stick together. The three attached cups named large cup, medium cup, and small cup, are used to capture and balance the ball.  To play the game, the player tosses the ball into the air and attempts to catch it in one of the cups, or spear it with the point of the stick. Kendama are popular with both children and adults, which has lead to it becoming a competitive sport.
