• Description: Daruma otoshi is a traditional Japanese game, where one strikes a wooden Daruma doll, comprised of a stack of separate pieces, with a small wooden mallet.  The objective is to knock away each piece from the bottom, without causing the entire stack above it to fall.  The Daruma doll itself if modeled after the founder of Zen Buddhism, Bodhidharma.
