World Heritage in Japan
Included in Festivals & Holidays box, Literature box
- Description: Japan’s world heritage sites are supported by the country’s diverse natural environment and its climate with four seasons. As of June 2014, the country has fourteen locations, both cultural and natural sites. Hiroshima Peace Memorial’s Atomic Bomb Dome, Mount Fuji, Shrines and Temples of Nikko are a few to name. These sites give great insight into the mindset of the Japanese people and their culture.
