Kadomatsu Pine Bamboo Decor

- Description: Decorating with kadomatsu (gate pine) is a New Year’s holiday tradition. It is placed in front of people’s homes to welcome toshigami between December 13th and January 7th. Kadomatsu is composed of pine, three bamboos shoots cut diagonally in different lengths, and plum (ume) tree sprigs, which represent prosperity and longevity, and a base made of straw.
