• Description: The Japan Post was government-owned until October 2007. It then became privatized by Japan Post Holdings Co.,Ltd. Japanese stamps are often collected and a variety of new designs can be bought at the Post Office. 
  These specific stamps were printed during the Winter Olympics 1972 in Sapporo, Japan.
