Fourteenth Week at CBJ Internship (12/5)

On 12/5 there was a game. I did another Zam ride and also did first game pucks before the game started. First game pucks is an activation that we do for first-time game-goers. It is for kids who are 12 and under. They get a CBJ logo puck with their name and date written on it by me.

Thirteenth Week at CBJ Internship (11/26)

This week was Thanksgiving so I only had one office-hour day. During this time, I met my supervisor to go over the Onboarding Presentation that I made two weeks prior to the Vice President. I also Met with The Activation and Corporate Partnership Vice President to talk about CRM Partner Survey Data. Lastly, I created a system for tracking the use of parking passes.

Eleventh Week at CBJ Internship (11/12 & 11/14)

On 11/12 I updated the premium listings, archtics, and the mailings.

On 11/14 I helped prepare for the event that was on 11/16. I made lanyards with clear name tags for people who arrived at High Bank Distillery. At this event, players and premium clients played corn hole and shuffle board while participating in distillery tours and food tastings. I was in charge of making sure that the players signed merchandise and interacted with their fans.

Eighth Week at CBJ Internship (10/22 & 10/24)

On 10/22 I was the intern asked to lead a new promotion called “Hockey Mom of the Month.” A Hockey Mom winner is selected to receive 4 free tickets to a game, tuition assist from Franklin University, a custom made Hockey Mom of the Month jersey and their recognition during the game. The first hockey mom selected was a woman named Ashley.

On 10/24 I prepared for “Happy Hockey Halloween” at CBJ. I went to the store and selected candy for the suite holders. I also picked out decorations for their doors. My team and I dressed as referees.

Seventh Week at CBJ Internship (10/15 & 10/17)

On 10/15 I did more concert mailing for the “Trans-Siberian Orchestra” concert

On 10/17 I put together all locker room line-up credentials for the month of November. I also met a CBJ suite holder and loge client to assist them with their event (owner of KPMG).

Sixth Week at CBJ Internship (10/8 & 10/10)

On 10/8 I had additional ticketing training. This training platform is called Archtics. I was able to navigate the system and know how to look for seat inventory, seats sold, availability for a suite, availability for loge boxes, availability for terrace tables, availability for party towers, and who bought and sold these spaces. I used this information to update our “Premium Listings” excel spreadsheet.

On 10/10 I attended a game-day meeting in the office of the Vice President of Corporate Partnership. This meeting consisted of what needed to be accomplished for the game that week. We went over special events and I learned how to take guests on Zamboni rides.

Fifth Week at CBJ Internship (10/1 & 10/3)

On 10/1 I assisted in loading up signed CBJ inventory to give out during promotions, kids birthdays, etc. This inventory included pucks, hockey sticks, jerseys, tee-shirts, and photos signed by the CBJ Hockey Players. We sorted the inventory, logged it, and properly stored it.

On 10/3 I wrote 50 hand-made thank you cards for our guest services team. These cards were in preparation for Opening Night and welcomed the team back to the arena. The message read:

Dear “Staff Member”

Hockey is Back and we are so excited to be working with you again this season!  We appreciate all that you do for the Blue Jackets and are so proud to have you as one of the first smiling faces that greets our clients.  We look forward to a great season and working together to make our guests have the best experience!
