      5. I selected this source because it covers Chilean news with a more radical and liberalized perspective. My other two newspaper sources are more right leaning so I wanted to get a different perspective regarding national news. In addition, Chile recently swore in a new right wing president after 4 years of a central left government. It will be interesting to see how this newspaper covers the new right wing administration.

      5. I selected this source because it provides local news to a very specific part of Chile. The source is very grassroots and offers a very authentic and localized style of news pertaining to Chile, only offering news in the region. The source has a small Facebook and Twitter following as well.

      5. I selected this source because it is the first digitized Chilean newspaper. With a diverse coverage, I feel this source will be a great tool for learning about more underground and less covered Chilean issues. In addition, the source categorizes itself as pluralist, which I find to be very interesting and will look into as I read articles from this source.

This source is great for getting a sense of state run Chilean media in contrast to local independent run Chilean media. It is also interesting to note that this source broadcasts worldwide, bringing in an international perspective as well.
