Why I selected it: It covers international news as well, while being based in Paris. It also has live coverage in both English and French.

Why I selected it: I found this source particularly interesting, as it is the oldest newspaper in France. The articles are all in French as well, written by French writers

Why I selected it: It was mentioned in class by Professor Black, and when I was looking into it, I found it particularly interesting to learn about a country from a statistical perspective, learning about everything from GDP to Life Expectancy.

Why I selected it: I found this source useful as it provides French news coverage, as well as international news coverage in 15 languages, including English and French.
Draft 1 Reflection:
My searching relied mainly on google, as France is a country that is actively engaged online. However, I also utilized some of the sources discussed in class, the class library link, the OSU Library catalog, as well as searching through sites I had already chosen. I found Google to be a good source for popular websites, as it directed me to what the majority of French internet users appeared to be viewing. However, using the OSU library catalog did not provide me with any of the sources I decided to use. The Library link and sources discussed in class were very helpful. I learned that many websites have convenient little buttons to translate to English, but the case is not the same for English sites with other langages. I found this particularly disheartening. I think this most definitely contributes to the information divide in countries where English is not spoken at all. I plan to use similar searching methods for my next draft. It was not too difficult to find sources about and directly from France because, as previously mentioned, the country is active online.
