What: This is a multiple choice quiz related to oil and coal with questions from the PBS Frontline Documentary “Heat” Chapter 4 – “America’s Addiction to Coal.”

Where: Carmen Activities – Quizzes

Why: Each year about 900-million tons of coal is mined in the USA, or almost 6,000 pounds for each U.S. citizen. Most of this coal is mined from Wyoming, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The mining process can pollute freshwater resources and destroy natural resources.

Directions: Watch the entire Chapter 4 “America’s Addiction to Coal” from PBS Frontline Documentary “Heat”. When you have read/watched all the material log into Carmen to take the quiz. You will have two attempts to take this quiz. We will keep your highest score.
