Reflection
Overall this activity went very well for our team. We were able to combine our minds to come up with many different variations and ideas which lead to the most optimal prototypes. It was beneficial for us to begin our thought process alone and then have our team members build off of our initial ideas. The hardest part was coming to terms with change in our individual prototypes, but we came to acknowledge that these changes were only enhancements and strived to make us better inventors.
It was very difficult to push past initial ideas and come up with more concepts. There were many times when our team struggled to come up with brand new innovations instead of just pulling from a previous design. It took a lot of brainstorming and collaboration in order to reach our maximum number of prototypes.
Our team feels very confident and positive about our final concepts. There is a lot of potential in all of our individual prototypes, as well as our group innovation of a new grocery cart in general. We think these new designs could sincerely work to make the lives of disabled people a lot easier. Even if our prototypes never make it to the final stage of production, we hope that they at least open the eyes of all the consumers who view our work and in turn allow the actual development of a new grocery cart to begin.
In conclusion, this project did nothing but enhance us as entrepreneurs, so we have little to no concerns with moving forward. The only concern that we would have is getting our actual prototypes to match the designs we have come up with. This might be very difficult and we will probably come across issues that will take a lot of effort to address. We plan to persevere through the problems, regardless of how difficult, in order to build a prototype that is to the best of its abilities.
