PLAY Project

PLAY Study: PLAY & Learning Across A Year

Site Principle Investigators: Jill Heathcock, Ph.D

Protocol Principle Investigators: Karen E. Adolph, Ph.D.
Co-PI’s:  Catherine Tamis-LeMonda, Ph.D.; Rick O. Gilmore, Ph.D.

Description: Approximately 1,200 infants and children (age 11-25 months) will participate in this project across the United States and Canada. Families we contact were chosen based on their children’s age, their languages spoken at home, the size and makeup of the family, and because they live near a researcher in the PLAY project. You will be in the home with your child during the entire visit. The primary goal of this research is to learn how children and mothers interact at home and how that interaction and the home environment affect learning and development.
