About

The first OSU-India Health Sciences Innovation Conference will be held in Mumbai, India, on January 15-18, 2015.

The focus of the conference will be India’s rapidly growing biotech and health sciences industry with the goal of developing strategic partnerships between The Ohio State University and Indian academic institutions and health sciences-related industry. The All India Institute for Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the country’s top public health care and research institution, will partner with Ohio State University in hosting this conference. Nobel Laureate Professor Luc Montagnier, discoverer of HIV, will present a keynote lecture.

Through the conference, the OSU India Gateway aims to generate research collaborations between Ohio State University health sciences faculty and Indian biotech/pharmaceutical companies, hospital and health systems and academic institutions. The conference will also help to secure placements for Ohio State graduates who are in these fields and returning to India, and to attract outstanding undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral candidates from India to the health sciences colleges at Ohio State University. Additionally, the conference seeks to engage health sciences companies from the U.S. to seek economic opportunities in India and India companies to explore operations in the U.S. market, specifically in Columbus, Ohio.
