IMDP IMAGING SERVICES AVAILABLE

EVOS Imaging System

The EVOS imaging system allows the capture of brightfield or fluorescence images or live-cell imaging for time-lapse movies to observe dynamic interactions of the cells. Features include:

  • Fully automated, no personal-contact imaging system
  • Bright field and fluorescence 2D or 3D imaging
  • On-stage incubator for time-lapse, live-cell imaging
  • Features speedy autofocus, imaging acquisition, and large data processing, and automatic multi-well plates scanning
  • Spatial gene expression applications for 10X Visium platform

Two types of services available in eRamp:

  • EVOS (assisted): For assisted services, go to eRamp and choose IMDP Imaging Services. You will see the prompt for EVOS scheduling services there. Reserve the EVOS System (assisted) services for the time period you require. An IMDP staff member will approve the request on calendar for assistance. This service can be scheduled for any number of hours you need (in fifteen minutes increments).
  • EVOS (unassisted): For unassisted services, go to eRamp and choose IMDP Imaging Services. You will see the prompt for EVOS scheduling services. Reserve the EVOS system for the unassisted services for the time period you require and toggle the switch button to “unassisted.” This service can be scheduled for any number of hours you need (in fifteen minutes increments).

Vectra Polaris Imaging System

The Vectra Polaris Imaging System is used for multispectral (up to 7 colors) imaging on the same tissue section. Features include:

  • Fully automated, hands-free imaging system
  • Fully automated brightfield and fluorescence imaging with autofocus technology
  • Features automatic whole-slide or ROI tissue scanning of up to 80 slides in a run
  • Compatible with whole slide scan containing large or small tissue sections and Tissue Micro Arrays (TMA)

Two types of services available in eRamp:

  • Vectra Polaris Imaging only services (assisted): This service is for groups/individuals who want to develop their own multiplex panels as well as stain their slides but need to use Vectra Polaris for imaging. However, due to multiple on-going projects and users, this service is currently offered as an “assisted” service only. For this service, please go to eRamp and choose IMDP Imaging Services. You will see the prompt for Vectra Polaris scheduling services there. Reserve the Vectra Polaris system for assisted services for the time period that your slides will need for scanning and toggle the switch button to assisted. Unassisted services are currently not available on this system. After reserving the time on Vectra Polaris calendar, submit your slides at the Vectra Polaris System Desk (located in BRT560C), and complete the Vectra Slides Scan Form, which is stored at the Vectra Polaris System Desk. One of the IMDP staff will scan your slides, inform you when they’re ready for pick up, and transfer your data.
  • Vectra Polaris Project-based services: Project-based Immune Monitoring and Discovery Platform (IMDP) Multispectral Imaging Services are end-to-end services for developing new panels, optimizing panels on the target tissue, staining and imaging slides, and data analysis. Users may choose from existing or custom panels: full panels (up to 6 biomarkers), or half panels (up to 3 biomarkers). IMDP Imaging scientists will work closely with investigators to achieve the best results for their project(s).
    • To start the process, please complete the online questionnaire (https://go.osu.edu/imdpimaging) to provide information necessary to generate an eRamp quote. Afterwards, an IMDP Imaging scientist will schedule a consultation to discuss project details including estimates for costs and timelines.

Please let us know if you experience any inconvenience in accessing these services or getting your work done on time. We will adapt to make changes for making your experience pleasant and getting work done efficiently. For questions/comments, please feel free to contact Dr. Komal Das at komal.das@osumc.edu and the IMDP at IMDP@osumc.edu
