Welcome to the IGNITE Lab, directed by Dr. Lisa Juckett, in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Ohio State University. We are committed to conducting research that is meaningful to our project partners and collaborators. In the IGNITE lab, we work together with our partners in the clinic and community to ensure older adult populations and those living with chronic conditions receive high-quality, evidence-based care. Currently, our research projects center on (1) developing and adapting interventions that are effective and implementable in organizations that serve older adults, (2) testing strategies that support the implementation of evidence-based assessments and interventions in routine rehabilitation practice, and (3) building the capacity of health professionals to apply evidence in their day-to-day work.

MISSION

The IGNITE Lab is dedicated to:

  • Fostering creativity to optimize the quality of care provided to older adult populations and those living with chronic conditions.
  • Engaging with community and clinical partners to develop innovative solutions that support the implementation of evidence-based practices across the care continuum
  • Creating an environment where lab members and research partners support one another, constructively challenge ideas, and feel a sense of belonging.
  • Providing students with experiences to prepare them to be thoughtful and engaged leaders in both research and practice.

VISION

The IGNITE Lab will produce impactful research by discovering effective solutions that result in the implementation of high-quality, evidence-based care with older adult populations.
