IDEA4PS is currently focussed on these three projects:
- A telemetry and alarms project to help clinicians focus on meaningful events instead of the white noise sometimes caused by alarms.
- Surveillance “hot spotting” of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) to use electronic medical records to explore real-time results and recognize concerning trends sooner so that clinicians can implement timely and effective interventions.
- Inpatient Portals and Information Flows: Finally, Project 3 was developed to explore how the hospital-wide use of MyChart Bedside (MCB) – an inpatient EHR portal – is impacting provider work system and processes.
