President – Ethan Charles Barnhardt
Ethan is originally from Upstate South Carolina, and attended Clemson University where he earned his BA in Political Science. He first learned about public service with the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Later, between his work on local political campaigns, and working for a small business after graduating college, he learned how much of an impact local government has on people’s lives. In 2016, he moved to Ohio with his wife who is a doctor at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and began the MPA program at The John Glenn College of Public Affairs. He hopes follow his passion and earn the skills necessary to help him on his way to one day becoming a city manager. Ethan currently lives in Gahanna, Ohio.
Treasurer/Shadowing Coordinator – Meghan Murray
Meghan Murray is currently pursuing her MPA and MLAS degrees at The Ohio State University. Meghan’s interest in Latin America stems from her undergraduate experience in Argentina where she was able to study for a year and a half in Cordoba. Meghan received her B.A. in International Affairs and Spanish with a minor in Theatre from Muskingum University. Meghan was able to continue her Spanish interests while teaching English in Toledo, Spain at the Universtiy of Castilla La Mancha before coming to Ohio State. Meghan first became interested in public service in her youth as a member of Girls Scouts of America, which Meghan is a still a member of today. Meghan hopes to combine her interests in public service and Latin America to influence policy that will have a positive impact on diversity here in the United States and abroad. Meghan currently resides in Dublin, Ohio.
Membership Coordinator – Ethan Thursby
Ethan is a first (second year, adjust as necessary) MPA student from Southern California who received a Bachelors in Political Science from Chapman University. He is greatly interested in local government and is working toward the goal of eventually becoming a City Manager.
