The primary event of the fall semester that the ICMA Student Chapter at Ohio State University conducts is the city manager shadowing opportunity. This provides undergraduate and graduate students the chance to visit a city manger’s office, and experience what goes on in the operations of a city government. This is a great chance to build a relationships with a city manager, and get first hand knowledge on how a local government is run.
Ohio City/County Management Association (OCMA) Winter Conference
The OCMA Winter Conference is an amazing chance for students to meet city and county managers from across the state of Ohio, and gives great opportunity to network and build professional relationships. Additionally there are numerous breakout sessions throughout the day that gives exposure to different topics of interest for local government professionals.

Join ICMA and PASA for various career conversations through the school year that showcase talented public administration professionals from across various organizations. You will have chance to listen to them discuss their careers in local government, and have the chance to ask questions.
