Health requirements are necessary for students for the protection of their own health as well as for that of the clients with whom they come in contact. The health requirements in place for students are those requirements set by the organizations and agencies where students are assigned for practicum.
As agency health requirements change, health requirements for students enrolled in the College of Nursing may also change. Some health requirements require a YEARLY update and it is the student’s responsibility to assure that the tests are completed and the report is submitted to Wilce Student Health Center Preventive Medicine Department. Those requirements for compliance may include, but are not limited to: immunizations, TB screening, background check, drug screen, and certain requirements of the facility, such as CPR training.
