For my first sketch I chose a scene from my favorite movie, Little Miss Sunshine. This is a sad scene in the movie and I think this screenshot captures the heartbreaking emotion in the scene even though you can’t see their faces very well. The body language says so much, you can see Olive (the little girl) trying her best to comfort her older brother (Dwayne) and I think it’s a really heartfelt moment between siblings.
For my second sketch I chose an image from the movie Coraline. When I was younger this movie scared me but as I have aged I have grown to love this movie, mostly because I think the creation and art behind it is so incredible. I love how expressive Coraline and Wybie’s faces are in this screenshot even though they are made of clay.
