Why you should consider adding a class or two to your summer schedule.
I came to Ohio State as a freshman with absolutely no college credits. Zero. None.
Many of my friends had taken courses at a local college throughout high school or had received credits from scoring well on their AP tests. I graduated high school in three years and while this may seem exciting, I felt behind when I started out as an undergraduate. I had taken IB courses (similar to AP), but because I graduated a year early, I did not take the IB tests to get college credit.
My solution: summer courses.
Of course, even those who were not “behind” like I was can and should take a class or two in the summer. In fact, I highly recommend it. Here’s why:
