I am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar in the School of Earth Sciences division of Water, Climate, and the Environment at The Ohio State University. I am working in Professor Andréa Grottoli’s Stable Isotope Biogeochemistry Lab. The first project is testing the effects of increased coral feeding in the realm of coral restoration to increase coral growth and decrease coral death. The second project aims to create an accessible technology to map the world’s coral reefs using citizen science GoPro footage to determine changes in reef health and growth throughout time.

I graduated with my PhD from Dr. Grottoli’s lab in August 2024 where I studied the effects ocean warming and acidification on coral physiology and the ability of resilient corals to acclimatize to long-term exposure to future conditions. We found that coral feeding is especially important for coral under both ocean warming and acidification.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Marine Biology from Northeastern University and my Masters of Science in Marine Science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology where I worked with Dr. Michael Berumen in the Red Sea Research Center.
